Owner & President
Quality and Environmental Management (QEM) provides training, consulting and auditing services to a variety of industries across the country. Our goal is our client’s success. We accomplish this goal through our personal commitment to understanding our client’s needs and delivering on those needs – every time.
We have a proven track record developing and implementing quality and environmental management systems for our automotive, electronics, metals, telecommunications, finishing, design and construction and specialty design, manufacture and service clients.
Not only have our clients successfully certified their systems on the “first-pass” they have experienced real-life business process improvements.
Tara McInerney has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College. Tara began her career as a Design Engineer then entered the quality arena when she headed-up the initiative to implement ISO 9001 at O’Brien & Gere Engineers, Inc., a national engineering consulting firm headquartered in Syracuse, New York. That effort gave her hands-on experience designing, implementing, training and auditing quality management systems for a design service firm.
Tara started her own consulting firm, Quality and Environmental Management, over 20 years ago, to assist other companies that were interested in implementing a quality or environmental management system.
QEM has assisted over 100 companies successfully implement and maintain ISO management system third-party certifications.
Tara has successfully completed accredited Lead Auditor Training courses in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 13485:2016 and AS9100D. Tara is a Certified Quality Auditor through the American Society for Quality. She has hands-on experience developing, implementing and auditing quality management systems and environmental management systems. In addition, QEM is a certified, women-owned business enterprise (WBE).
